Disclaimer: This software is for radiation protection education, screening calculations, and professional support only. It does not replace qualified health physicist judgment, regulatory requirements, approved procedures, emergency response tools, or formal shielding design review. Exposure, absorbed dose, equivalent dose, and effective dose are distinct quantities; do not equate R and Sv without explicit context and assumptions.

Internal dose screening

Help

Intake, ingestion, inhalation, DAC-hour, and ALI fraction screening calculators for documentation and training support. Physics functions are in lib/physics/internalDose.ts.

Internal dose screening only

This tool provides screening estimates for documentation and training support. It does not perform certified internal dosimetry, bioassay interpretation, organ dose assessment, medical evaluation, regulatory dose assignment, or emergency dose reconstruction. Qualified internal dosimetry review is required for actual intake assessment.

  • Dose coefficients depend on radionuclide, chemical form, route, absorption type, particle size, age group, and dosimetric model.
  • ALI/DAC values may not directly apply to mixed radionuclides, mixed pathways, or combined internal/external exposure scenarios.
  • User-supplied coefficients must be documented with source notes.
